What we collect and why

When you place an order

We process your name, address, email, phone number, order details and payment status to deliver your order, handle returns and provide customer service. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). Payment card details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored by us.

Accounting

Order and invoice data are kept for five years from the end of the financial year to comply with the Danish Bookkeeping Act (bogføringsloven). Legal basis: legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)).

Customer account

If you create an account, we store your login details, addresses and order history until you delete your account.

Contact and consultation requests

When you use our contact or consultation form, we process your name, email and message to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding (art. 6(1)(f)). Messages are deleted after 12 months unless needed for an ongoing case.

Back-in-stock notifications

If you ask to be notified when a product returns, we store your email address and the product until the notification is sent or you unsubscribe. Legal basis: consent (art. 6(1)(a)).

Website analytics

With your consent, we use cookies to understand how visitors use our website. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Who we share data with

We only share personal data with trusted processors who help us run the shop, such as our web host, payment provider, shipping carriers, email service and analytics tools. All processors act on our instructions under data processing agreements. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased, where the law allows
  • Restrict or object to our processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing

To exercise your rights, email info@aevenue.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), datatilsynet.dk.
